Manchester United could have to play against West Ham in the Premier League this weekend with only one striker, MySportDab reports.
With Cavani out, Anthony Martial has started as the main forward in recent games for Manchester United.
However, Martial suffered an injury problem against AC Milan.
The Red Devils ended up playing a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against the Serie A club.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now provided an update on his players ahead of a potential crisis.
The Red Devils face a tough task to reach the Europa League quarter finals after a poor 1-1 home draw against Milan on Thursday.
However, Solskjaer is concerned by the knock main striker Anthony Martial suffered against AC Milan.
The Norwegian also provided an update about the fitness levels of Edinson Cavani, and Marcus Rashford.
“Anthony has a issue with his hip, so he’s another forward we need to scan and see the results,” Ole said.
“I hope Marcus will be back for next week’s match in Milan. I’m not sure he’ll play on Sunday but, we will check him.
“Edinson, I don’t think he will be available for Sunday’s game.
“I’m sure the players who get chances, they take them very well. Amad took his chance yesterday at half time.
“My hope is that Anthony’s injury is not too serious, and we are hopeful about Marcus.
“Marcus has a better chance of playing in the match in Milan next week, but we are not sure about the weekend.”
