One Goal from Mauro Icardi and a brace for Kylian Mbappe helped Paris Saint-Germain advance in the French Cup by beating Lille 3-0, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was all about the home side for the first half who dominated play as they also scored twice to make sure they made their possession count.
Paris Saint-Germain opened the goal scoring in the 9th minutes when Mauro Icardi scored an outstanding goal which gave his side a 1-0 lead after an impressive goal.
Lille were second best when it comes to controlling play as the pressure continued to pile up on them before Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.
The game carried on without any more goal as the first half of the encounter ended with Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 Lille as they both headed for the break with an advantage to PSG.
Second Half Report
It wasn’t much the same like the first 45 minutes which was one sided, with the away side showing some quality in the second half of the encounter.
Lille was comfortable as they had things under control in the early stages as they managed to soak in all the pressure and threw in some good attack which unfortunately did bring a goal.
Paris Saint-Germain was more relaxed as they continued to do everything possible to kill off time while they made some good play going forward in the encounter.
Yusuf Yazici missed a glorious chance to pull one goal back which saw him missed a penalty in the 78th minutes that could have been a way back for his team.
Kylian Mbappe scored a late goal which saw the match ended with Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Lille as the home side claimed the win to advance into the next round of the competition.
